Brian Ingham (1936-1997)was an English artist born and raised in Yorkshire who specialised in painting, etching and sculpture. He studied at St Martins School of Art London. On graduating he was offered a post graduate at the Royal College of Art, where in his second year he was awarded a royal scholarship and was a contemporary of the better known David Hockney. Ingham was to become one of the most notable etchers of the late 20th century. He travelled Italy, but settled in Cornwall. He taught etching at falmouth and Farnham art College.
