Modern 20th Century British ( naive in style )

Mary Feddon born in Bristol England. British Modernist artist.  She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London 1932-36. Mary developed her own style of flower and still life paintings, reminiscent of artists such as Matisse and Braque.  In 1951 she married artist Julian Trevelyan.  She went on to teach at the Royal College of Art from 1956 to 1964, the first woman tutor to teach in the Painting school.  Her pupils included David Hockney and Allen Jones.
